The role

(Hours: 12pm - 8pm) The Order Fulfillment Specialist I is a member of the Supply Chain team and is responsible for picking, packaging and shipping of biological products. Success in this role is measured by following department standard operating procedures, maintaining keen attention to detail, delivering high picking accuracy, and working effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• 30% Accurately pick international and domestic orders retrieve items from storage locations to fulfill customer orders.
• 30% Accurately package staged product in accordance with their specific shipping requirements prepare products for shipment ensuring proper protection and compliance with carrier specifications.
• 30% Accurately scan and label packages in shipping terminal and stage for carrier pickup digitally track and prepare packages for handoff to the carrier.
• Perform other duties as assigned; cross-functional tasks and specialty projects; maintain conformance with all relevant Quality Management System (QMS) policies.
• 10% Maneuver pallets of coolers using an electric pallet jack safe and efficient movement of large quantities of products.

Who you are and what you bring to the team

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to use Gmail or other email applications.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to work evenings and weekends when necessary with advanced notification.

Ideally, you have

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite).
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine packaging/shipping problems.
• Ability to work independently and exercise situational awareness.
• Results-driven and proactive mindset.

Physical Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Ability to consistently lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
• On-your-feet work with standing and walking within the facility.
• Repetitive movements including picking, packing, filling and sorting items; ability to reach, bend, stoop, and handle products.
• Ability to operate, push and pull heavy pallets with pallet jacks.
