About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Leveraged Finance and Corporate Developed Markets Underwriting to lead a global team of corporate underwriters. The successful candidate will be responsible for all underwriting activities within the corporate banking, services, and markets relationships, with a focus on large and complex corporate and financial sponsor relationships. This role requires a strategic leader who can ensure the consistent adoption of leading practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring, and who can provide senior credit guidance to business coverage, capital markets, and risk partners. The Head of LFCDM will also be involved in managing the leveraged underwriting team, overseeing credit execution for sponsor-backed, leveraged acquisition finance, asset-backed finance, and highly leveraged corporates, and will be a key point of contact for the team for escalations and guidance. Applicants for the Head of Leveraged Finance and Corporate Developed Markets Underwriting position at the company should have a minimum of 20 years' of experience, with at least 10 years' in a managerial role. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in risk management, client relationships, and business partnership, as well as the ability to make well-reasoned, balanced assessments of risk/return trade-offs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global credit risk management standards, the ability to understand capital markets products and complex financing structures, and a demonstrated expertise in managing large teams. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred, and the candidate must possess excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills, and the ability to engage effectively with regulators and internal control functions.
